1) What do you love most about your kitchen?

What we love most about our kitchen is that it’s where everyone ends up.  We have three kids ages 6, 11 and 14 so it’s constantly full of noise, their friends and our friends and it’s the best! It’s bright, colorful and full of light and it’s just fun to be in there together.

2) Who taught you how to cook?

Sarah: My Mom taught me how to cook.  She has this effortless way in the kitchen, just a few simple ingredients that somehow turns into something delicious.  My earliest kitchen memories are of being right beside her, not following a recipe but just trusting her instincts and tasting as she went.

Aaron: My Dad was the best cook I know.  He had this ability to make something out of nothing, open the fridge and somehow turn whatever was there into a great meal.  He was so happy to be in the kitchen cooking for everyone and there was nothing better than being by his side.  He has since passed away but the easiest and best way to relive his memory is in the kitchen.

3) What are your 3 must-have pantry items?

Lula. Kosher Salt, and always Roe Caviar (pictured below!)

4) Do you cook to music?

Yes! Our 14 year old recently got a record player that plays through the whole house.

He has the best taste in music and always puts something on for us when we’re cooking.

5) How do you use Lula in your kitchen?

We keep Lula right by the stove so it’s always within reach whether we’re sautéing, roasting or adding it to a salad dressing. It works on everything.

6) What is your perfect night in?

Our perfect night in is cooking together with our three kids nearby, everyone in and out of the kitchen talking and helping in their own way. We have dinner and all watch a movie together. Nothing better.
